Catching Feelings

When you start catching feelings for someone, you feel euphoric and nervous and an array of emotions arise. When you start dating that person, it becomes even more exciting and you start to feel less nervous and more comfortable. And then, time sets in. And triggers pop up. Insecurities and feeling unheard compound. Many people give up these days at the first sign of misunderstanding. It is not a rare occurence. How can one ensure a greater possibility of achieving a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship?
Emotions can be complicated, and messy. Unless we become aware of the many emotions that pertain to all humans, and identify our own, we will constantly be repeating dead-end patterns in our lives, and this includes establishing and keeping relationships. We need to be able to regulate our emotions in order to have effective interpersonal skills.
